Following Failed IUIs, They Tried Mosie Once Again Before IVF!

My husband (37 at the time) and I (33 at the time) had been off birth control for about 4.5 years, and actively trying to conceive for about 2. We started to see fertility docs and had initial tests done. The next several months, we were waiting on my insurance company to try to get an HSG procedure approved (otherwise it would be $1000 out of pocket, which we were trying to avoid!). My husband had brought up the idea of trying an at-home kit, and we figured we would give it a try before officially embarking on the path of difficult and expensive medical interventions. We found Mosie and gave it a shot and it worked on the first try! I got pregnant! We were elated. Sadly I ended up miscarrying, but the fact that I got pregnant was a huge confidence booster. After trying again for a couple months unsuccessfully, we ended up moving on to IUI. We did 4 rounds of IUI, unsuccessfully. While our infertility was still considered "unexplained", I do have an ovarian cyst and our next steps were that I was to have it removed, and then we were going to move on to IVF. I was about to turn 35 so we wanted to keep forging ahead. 

My surgery was scheduled a bit over a month away, so we technically still had one more cycle before the surgery. We had one Mosie kit left and decided to give it a shot - we figured it was a long shot given all of our efforts, but we might as well do it, as it was kind of our "last chance" before IVF, and it had worked once before. And...It worked again! In getting some blood work done 2 weeks before my surgery, we found out that I was pregnant. Mosie: 2, IUI: 0!! 

I had a smooth pregnancy and delivery, and our healthy baby girl is one month old today. We are over the moon! We are so grateful to Mosie for giving us the initial hope that a baby was possible for us, and of course the gift of our daughter.
