After $12K Expense on 4 Rounds of IUI, a Mosie Conception!

I am so so excited to share with you that it worked!!! It worked on the first cycle we tried!! We did use both kits 2 days in a row, andI finally have a positive pregnancy test after so many failed expensive IUI’s!! Thank you so much for your kind words and assistance throughout my journey. Our story…

It was initially my idea to try Mosie before any medical assistance with this process as I already have a child, but my partner was very clear that she wanted us to do it on our own and use an anonymous donor. So that is what we did. We have been trying since September 2018 with 4 failed IUI’s and over $12K in loss with lots of tears and frustration along the way, and we realized it was taking too long to make this happen. We were unable to do an IUI during my cycle in December because it landed on Christmas Day and have taken a few other months off due to moving and other circumstances. But I was thrilled when we were both on the same page to use Mosie in the end! We have been tracking my cycle every month, and I had mentioned to our nurse that I feel as if we are missing our “surge time” every month because they require you to check your ovulation once in the am with your 2nd pee of the day, and I wouldn’t have my smiley face till later in the evening, and that pushed us back another day for the insemination. This last month I tested 3 times a day and could see the progression in my ovulation and knew when our time started to try! We called my brother-in-law who lives two hours away and he rushed up to help. He stayed the night so he could try once that evening and once the next day! He was so amazing and has been so excited to see us in this process of trying to grow our family, I couldn’t thank him enough!! We definitely were nervous to ask for his help, but he was almost honored to be part of it and keep my partner’s genes in the mix so it will feel even more like her baby! We did agree to keep all of this between the 3 of us and not tell ANYONE that he was used as a donor per his request, and we plan to keep it a secret for him. Can’t wait for these next few months to fly by so we can finally complete our family!
