Challenging 4-Year TTC Journey Ends Happily With A Mosie Conception!

Good morning Maureen,

My husband and I started trying to conceive (TTC) in June of 2014, I had a 4 year old daughter already from my late husband, and we were excited to give her a sibling. We were causal about about it at first, not expecting it would be take much. But as time went on it became apparent that conception wouldnt be easy for us. After about 2.5 years of nothing, we went to see a local OB/GYN. He asked a series of questions and determined the most likely issue was with my husband. My husband saw a urologist, who did a sperm count and it came back with a low count and subpar motility. He was prescribed Clomid for about 6 months without a noticeable uptick. We were then referred to another specialist a couple hours away, who after reviewing our case, recommended we see a fertility specialist. I was, to say the least, devastated. This was November of 2017. I wasnt prepared to go through the emotional and financial burden of IVF along with the unknown health repercussions and wanted to exhaust all means I could. After some research I stumbled across at-home insemination, and ultimately The Mosie Baby method. I decided to go for it, knowing the only thing I had to lose was a little bit of money (much less than IVF!) and some time if it wasnt successful. We begin to inseminate around the time of ovulation, twice each cycle, once before my most fertile day then the day and of sometimes the day after. We started with Mosie in December of 2017 and by March of 2018 I found out I was pregnant!

To say we were excited would be an understatement. I was shocked it had actually come true, after all this time and doctors appointments, and medicine. We had done it without all the intervention. To those in the same situation I found myself in, know it will come one way or another in perfect time, and even when your heart is aching for the thing you want the most, trust yourself.

Thanks Maureen! Have a wonderful day!

What a journey you two had, goosebumps reading this. How many couples start TTC "casually" only to have anxiety set in, along with paperwork, and waiting rooms. We can relate. And we're grateful to you both for sharing your journey so that others may benefit! Wishing you both a healthy term and new addition! - Maureen + Marc
